Located on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue & West 76th Street, our neighborhood bar inhabits a space that has been a drinking establishment since the late 1930s. This line of hospitality runs through what was once Sweeney’s Bar during those early years to local tavern J.G. Melons in the 1970s and 80s to brewpub Westside Brewing Company in the 1990s-2000s to us. You can feel this history when you walk through our doors. The spirit welcomes you in.
Now the modern day Amsterdam Ale House, our staff strives to maintain the warmth and familial environment of our forebears. Traditional pub fare with some modern twists can be seen on our extensive menu paired perfectly with our rotating selection of craft ales, lagers and ciders.
